Veneers are the cosmetic treatment for teeth that are sound but do not look the way you want: discolored beyond what whitening will fix, chipped at the edges, uneven in length, or slightly crowded. Thin porcelain shells bonded to the front surfaces change all of that at once, and when they are designed well the result reads as good genetics rather than dental work.
At our Pines Road office in west Shreveport, veneer cases are handled by Dr. Judson Murray and Dr. Neil Patel. Dr. Murray designs complete smiles regularly through our full-arch Ultimate Smile work, which is the same skill set veneers require: judging proportion, choosing shade, and understanding how teeth should relate to the lip line and the shape of the face. Dr. Patel provides general, restorative, and surgical dentistry with IV sedation.
Because veneers are judged purely on appearance, we do not ask you to take the design on trust. A trial smile mocked up over your existing teeth lets you see the proposed shape and length in your own mouth first. And because a small amount of enamel is removed permanently in preparation, we will tell you plainly when whitening or bonding would get you where you want to go instead.
