Dental Bridges

You may need a dental bridge if you:

  • Have one or more missing teeth
  • Had a tooth extracted

Missing teeth can cause insecurity and embarrassment for a lot of people. Dental bridges stop your teeth on either side of the missing tooth gap from shifting. Numerous dental issues, such as misaligned bite and an elevated risk of cavities, may result from shifting teeth. A bridge also aids in distributing your jaw’s pressure evenly, preventing more severe dental issues like TMJ. Our custom dental bridges are made of porcelain, making them strong, seamless, and natural-looking. We offer two dental bridge options for the replacement of missing teeth.

A traditional dental bridge is one of them. A traditional dental bridge is the most commonly used type of dental bridge, you may even be familiar with it. This is an option for one missing tooth. A false tooth called a dental bridge is securely fixed in place by the teeth on either side of the missing tooth gap. The pontic, a false tooth, fills in the empty space left by the two supporting teeth and is fitted with crowns.

The second option is an implant-supported dental bridge. This option is best when there’s more than one missing tooth. An implant-supported bridge is similar to a traditional bridge, however, it rests atop dental implants instead of natural teeth. Dental implants are small threaded posts that replace missing teeth roots. Before attaching a bridge to dental implants, your implants must fully integrate (fused) with your jawbone.
