Conservative First

Crown Only When It Is Warranted

A crown removes tooth structure, so it should be the answer when a tooth genuinely needs it. If a filling or an onlay will do the job, we will say so.

On-Site Tyler Lab

Restorations Built in Suite 100

Crowns, onlays, and bridges are made at the Rice Road office, which keeps the temporary phase short for Chandler patients.

Fifteen Minutes East

An Easy Trip on Highway 31

The prep and seat appointments are short, and at 15 minutes each way they fit into a normal week without much planning.

Four-Doctor Team

A Second Opinion in the Building

Tyler restorative cases are handled by a four-doctor team, so an unusual bite or a borderline tooth gets more than one perspective.

About Crowns and Bridges for Chandler Patients

There is a real hierarchy in restorative dentistry, and it runs from least invasive to most. A filling replaces what decay took. An onlay covers part of the chewing surface when a cusp is compromised. A crown covers the whole tooth. Each step removes more healthy structure than the one before it, which is why we do not treat a crown as the automatic answer to a damaged tooth.

That said, there are clear cases where full coverage is right: a tooth with a visible crack, a tooth where the old filling is wider than the remaining walls, or a back tooth that has had a root canal. In those situations anything less tends to end in a fracture that costs the whole tooth. For Chandler patients this work happens at our Tyler office on Rice Road, about 15 minutes east on Highway 31, with the lab in Suite 100.

When a tooth has already been lost, the conversation shifts to bridges and implants. A bridge is faster and avoids surgery, but it requires preparing the teeth on both sides of the gap. An implant does not touch them. We go through both routes with costs in writing, and if the neighboring teeth are healthy we will usually say so plainly.

FAQs

Common questions from Chandler patients

About 15 minutes east on Highway 31 to Suite 100, where crowns and bridges are made in our on-site lab.
It depends on how much healthy tooth is left. If the remaining walls are strong enough, a filling or an onlay may be the better, more conservative choice, and we will tell you when that is the case.
A partial-coverage restoration that rebuilds one or more cusps without covering the entire tooth. It preserves more of your natural tooth than a full crown when the damage allows it.
Usually, because a crack tends to propagate under chewing force until the tooth splits. Covering it holds the tooth together, and catching it early is what keeps the tooth.
We give the cost in writing before treatment begins and work with CareCredit, LendingClub, Alphaeon Credit, Sunbit, and Cherry for financing.
